Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) is a global consulting firm seeking a Manager for software product and technology due diligence for private equity clients and their portfolio companies. Responsibilities include leading assessments of features, roadmaps, architecture, IP, and SDLC, across pre/post‑acquisition engagements.

The role requires 5–8 years of consulting in tech, strong communication, and ability to travel up to 75% with a focus on delivering actionable insights and client-ready deliverables.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of professional consulting or relevant industry experience, with a minimum of five years consulting to the tech industry or specializing in software/tech-enabled services product management or software development.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in key target and client interactions, including interviews, interim updates, final readouts and any follow‑ups.
• Develop and manage the data request list identifying key data, artifacts, and documentation required from the target for the assessment; manage interactions with bankers and the client.
• Conduct detailed analysis of the target across all areas of assessment, focusing on quantitative and qualitative data gathering, organizing, and analysis.
• Summarize key insights into client-ready exhibits, pages, sections of the interim and final deliverables.
• Ensure the quality of deliverables and effectively manage day‑to‑day relationships to ensure exceptional performance.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff
