Job summary

KPMG LLP is seeking a Technology Assurance Intern to join our Audit and Assurance team in Houston. You will work in a team to conduct IT audits, learn to document client processes and IT systems, and participate in testing of client IT controls using standard terminology.

You will also support data-driven audits leveraging AI, dashboards, Excel, Alteryx, SQL and Power BI, applying technology to enhance engagement activities under guidance.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher in MIS/AIS or equivalent with accounting double major.
• Completion of at least one college-level accounting course is required at time of application.
• Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Exposure to ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or Workday is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in IT audits and contribute to ensuring accuracy and reliability of client financial information.
• Document client processes and IT controls; test IT controls using standard terminology.
• Support data-driven audits using AI, dashboards, Excel, Alteryx, SQL and Power BI.
• Utilize technology and tools in support of engagement activities.
