Job summary

KPMG is seeking a Technology Assurance Associate to join our Audit and Assurance team in New York. You will play a central role in IT audits, documenting processes, assessing risks, and testing controls using AI and data analysis tools.

The role emphasizes collaboration, rigorous professional standards, and delivering actionable insights to clients in financial services. On-site work is expected, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or completed degrees in MIS, Accounting Information Systems, or equivalent; information systems with accounting dual major preferred
• Preference for CPA licensure or pursuing CPA/CISA
• Exposure to ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or Workday
• Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel, plus data analysis capabilities
• Excellent communication, organization, and relationship-building skills

Responsibilities

• Conduct IT audits and support capital markets by ensuring accuracy and reliability of client financial information
• Prepare clear, structured documentation of client processes and IT systems, identifying IT risk points and controls
• Evaluate client IT and business processes against frameworks to identify design/execution gaps and inform recommendations
• Execute testing of IT and automated controls with clear procedures and results
• Support data-driven audits using AI, BOTs, Dashboards, Excel, Alteryx, SQL, and Power BI
• Assist in system implementations and digital transformation reviews, tracking deliverables and communicating findings to teams and clients
