Job summary

Weber Shandwick is seeking a Manager, Client Experience to join our West Technology practice in San Francisco. You will lead integrated communications programs for technology clients, distilling AI, computing and enterprise tech topics into clear, compelling narratives across media, influencers, and owned content.

The ideal candidate has 4–6 years in tech PR, agency experience preferred, a Bachelor's degree in Communications or related field, and proven project/people leadership.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of experience in the technology sector; agency experience is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, or a related discipline.
• Track record of leading projects from start to finish within integrated teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key team member on multiple lines of business, managing projects and contributing to integrated communication strategies.
• Provide daily client counsel and clear, strategic recommendations under the guidance of senior leaders.
• Draft a wide range of media materials, including press releases, pitch notes, messaging documents, proposals, and bylined articles.
• Execute integrated communications strategies for major technology campaigns, translating insights into compelling programs.
• Bring to life compelling story ideas for clients, media, and influencers, targeting business, technology, and enterprise press.
• Source earned media results by identifying contacts, writing pitches, and building media relationships.
• Stay current on the dynamic media landscape and how tech stories travel.
• Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of curiosity and high performance.
• Serve as a key participant in client meetings and presentations, building trust and rapport.
• Trend-spot across the technology category to identify new opportunities.
