Job summary

Toastique is seeking a Front of House Team Member to welcome guests and deliver exceptional service in a fast-paced cafe environment. You will greet guests, take accurate orders, and help keep the dining area clean and inviting, while supporting the team during busy periods.

The role emphasizes guest engagement, cross-training, and flexible shifts to meet store volume, with responsibilities that span order accuracy, food safety, and presentation.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming guest experience and accurately communicate menu items.
• Maintain clean, inviting FOH areas and ensure service standards.
• Support team during peak times by assisting with toast, smoothies, bowls, espresso, dishes, etc.
• Coordinate with BOH and leadership to communicate shift needs and maintain flow.

Front of House Team Member

Toastique is a gourmet toast cafe specializing in housemade cold-pressed juices, smoothies, bowls, toast, and espresso drinks.

The Front of House Team Member is responsible for delivering an exceptional guest experience. As the face of Toastique, FOH team members create a welcoming environment while ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and strong customer engagement. The responsibilities listed below are some key responsibilities but not limited to those only. All team members are expected to be cross-trained and flex positions based on the volume of the store.

Key Responsibilities:

Guest Experience:

• Greet every guest with a positive, friendly, and energetic attitude.
• Accurately communicate and answer guest questions regarding menu items/ingredients.
• Create a welcoming and engaging environment
• Ensure every guest feels acknowledged and valued
• Accurately take and repeat orders for clarity
• Manage multiple orders while staying organized and composed

Cleanliness & Presentation

• Keep all FOH areas clean, stocked, and visually appealing
• Maintain dining areas, restrooms, and service standards
• Complete Opening and closing procedures done accurately and during allotted time frame
• Adhere to all food safety standards

Support & Teamwork

• Assist with restocking, light prep, and merchandising items.
• Support team members during busy periods by making toast, smoothies, bowls, espresso, dishes, etc.
• Communicate clearly with BOH and Leadership regarding the shift

Requirements:

• Minimum 18 years old
• Minimum 1 year of restaurant or hospitality experience
• Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, afternoons, weekends and/or holidays.
• Meet store expectations and standards by following food and beverage recipe guides, cash handling procedures, food safety & uniform guidelines.
