Job summary

Toastique in Pittsburgh is seeking a Front of House Team Member to deliver an exceptional guest experience. You will be the face of the cafe, greeting guests, taking orders, and ensuring accuracy while staying organized during busy periods.

Responsibilities include keeping FOH clean and inviting, following food safety standards, restocking, and communicating with BOH and leadership. This role requires 18+ and 1 year of hospitality experience, with flexible hours including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years old.
• Minimum 1 year of restaurant or hospitality experience.
• Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, afternoons, weekends and/or holidays.
• Follow food safety & uniform guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Greet every guest with a positive, friendly, and energetic attitude.
• Accurately communicate and answer guest questions regarding menu items/ingredients.
• Create a welcoming and engaging environment.
• Ensure every guest feels acknowledged and valued.
• Accurately take and repeat orders for clarity.
• Manage multiple orders while staying organized and composed.
• Keep FOH areas clean, stocked, and visually appealing.
• Maintain dining areas, restrooms, and service standards.
• Complete opening and closing procedures done accurately and within allotted time frame.
• Adhere to all food safety standards.
• Assist with restocking, light prep, and merchandising items.
• Support team members during busy periods by making toast, smoothies, bowls, espresso, dishes, etc.
• Communicate clearly with BOH and Leadership regarding the shift.
