Overall Job Summary

The Team Leader is responsible for assisting the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager with the execution of operational, sales, and merchandising objectives by delivering a Legendary Customer Experience. The Team Leader is also responsible for promoting a safe and productive work environment for all Team Members, customers, and vendors, as well as training Team Members on the appropriate application of policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
  2. Work scheduled shifts, and have the ability to work varied hours, days, nights, weekends, and overtime as dictated by business needs.
  3. Uphold and promote a safe and productive work environment by following and enforcing policies and procedures.
  4. Deliver Legendary Customer Service through GURA: Greet, Uncover Needs & Wants, Recommend Solutions, Add Value & Appreciate.
  5. Perform a variety of duties including merchandising, opening/closing, banking, assessing store conditions, organizing workflow, merchandise recovery, price changes, customer complaint resolution, loss prevention, communication, operating cash registers, assisting team members, maintaining poultry, operating equipment, and completing documentation.
  6. Obtain necessary licenses or certifications as required.
  7. Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications

Experience in retail or related fields preferred; supervisory experience is a plus. Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license. Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required; ability to read, write, and count accurately is essential.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Basic computer skills, strong interpersonal skills, ethical issue resolution, and ability to perform core responsibilities effectively.

Working Conditions
  • Mostly indoor environment with moderate noise; outdoor work possible in adverse weather.
  • Shifts generally range from 4 to over 8 hours, including weekends and evenings.
  • Adherence to safety guidelines and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, push/pull up to 2000 pounds with equipment, and perform physical activities including standing, kneeling, climbing, and reaching.
  • Ability to operate store equipment and complete documentation accurately.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and process information quickly.
