Job summary

CareTech is recruiting a Team Leader for Edgerton Grove in Stalybridge to support adults with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs. The role involves delivering person-centred care, helping with daily living, and promoting independence, with a rota that includes evenings, weekends, bank holidays and sleep-ins.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years in supported living or residential care, at least 1 year in a Senior or Team Leader position, and an enhanced DBS.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years experience in a Supported Living or Residential Care Environment.
• At least a year in a Senior or Team Leader position within care.
• Enhanced DBS required (paid for by CareTech).

Responsibilities

• Deliver person-centred support in line with individual support plans.
• Assist with daily living skills and personal care where required.
• Promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing.
• Support activities, appointments, and community access.
• Maintain accurate records and work effectively as part of a team.
• Work a rota including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-ins.

About the Service – Edgerton Grove

Edgerton Grove is a registered residential care service supporting adults aged 18+ in a safe, structured, and supportive environment. The service promotes independence, choice, and wellbeing through tailored, person-centred support.

Service User Interests

• Arts and crafts
• Days out such as Theme Parks, Meals out, Social activities, Christmas markets etc.
• Holidays and short breaks
• Walks in the local park and community
• Cooking and baking to develop life skills

The Role

You will:

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking people who are caring, patient, and respectful, with a positive and resilient approach. You should be confident working independently and within a team, have good communication skills, basic IT and written abilities, and be flexible and reliable.

No previous experience? No problem! If you have the passion, we’ll provide full training and a structured induction programme.

Requirements

• Enhanced DBS required (paid for by CareTech)
