Job summary

CareTech is seeking a Domestic Cleaner to help provide and maintain a safe, clean environment within a residential setting. You will be working as part of a team to ensure that the residence and learning environment are cleaned to a high standard following health and safety policies.

You will work independently with a positive and proactive approach, in a rota-based schedule offering 35 hours weekly. We may be unable to support applications where visa restrictions prevent meeting full

Qualifications

• No prior experience required, COSHH knowledge preferred.
• Knowledge of health and safety practices in the workplace.
• Ability to work independently and maintain high cleanliness standards.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect bathrooms, communal areas, and bedrooms.
• Dust, vacuum, mop, and maintain floors and surfaces.
• Ensure health and safety compliance and waste disposal.
• Support staff and residents by maintaining a safe cleaning environment.

Permanent | Full-time | 35 hours per week (rota-based)

The Role:

As a Domestic Cleaner, you will be responsible for helping to provide and maintain a safe, clean, positive environment. You will be working as part of a team to ensure that the residence and learning environment are all cleaned to a high standard following the health and safety policies and requirements.

You will be working within a homely environment with a responsibility for cleaning the communal areas and bedrooms this is not limited to but may include dealing with personal hygiene issues such as incontinence.

We are looking for someone who is able to work independently with a positive and proactive approach to obtaining high standards of cleanliness. We are looking for a self‑motivated, flexible and efficient individual who takes pride in their work and understands the important part they play.

We do not require any specific experience for this role, some knowledge of COSHH, health and safety in the workplace and/or previous cleaning experience would be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect bathrooms, communal areas, dining rooms, offices, and corridors.
• Dust, polish, vacuum, sweep, mop, and maintain floors and surfaces.
• Empty bins and dispose of waste safely and appropriately.
• To ensure that high standards of cleanliness are maintained throughout the house.
• helping to provide a safe and pleasant environment for our supported individuals and staff while following health and safety and infection control procedures.
