Job summary

CareTech Community Services is seeking a Senior Support Worker to care for young people in a residential setting at our Lancaster home. You’ll supervise a team, support daily routines, and help plan activities, with an average of 8 overnight sleep-ins per month.

You’ll work with a supportive team, promote a warm, homely environment, and build strong relationships with the young people while maintaining high standards of safeguarding and DBS checks.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years in a similar role within children's residential care.
  • Level 3/4 qualification in Children's Residential/Children’s Workforce.
  • Manual UK driving licence is essential.
  • Experience of supporting team members.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
  • Ability to cover shifts flexibly.

Location: Lancaster, LA1

Pay: £41,346 This includes an average of just 8 sleep-ins per month.

A full manual UK driving licence is required for this role and we are not able to offer sponsorship.

What You’ll Do
