Job summary

Belong is seeking a Team Lead at Belong Birkdale to guide a household of Support Workers and deliver exceptional, person-centred care for older people, including those living with dementia. The role blends hands-on support with leadership to foster independence and meaningful daily experiences.

You will lead, supervise and coach the team, manage rotas, oversee medications and care plans, and champion Belong's values in a supportive, values-led environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 Health & Social Care (or working towards).
• Experience administering medication.
• Experience leading, supervising or mentoring care colleagues.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work the required shift pattern, including alternate weekends.
• Desirable: dementia care experience; senior care roles; safeguarding knowledge.

Responsibilities

As a Team Lead, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of one of our households, supporting colleagues to deliver outstanding care while ensuring our customers enjoy a fulfilling, independent and meaningful life.

Working Pattern

We currently have vacancies available for both Day and Night Care Team Leaders.

Day Shifts: 8:00am to 3:00pm and 3:00pm to 10:00pm
Night Shifts: 10:00pm to 8:00am

What You'll Be Doing

About You

We're looking for someone who is passionate about delivering excellent care and supporting others to be their best.

Essential

• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards).
• Experience working within an adult social care setting.
• Experience administering medication.
• Experience leading, supervising or mentoring care colleagues.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• A caring, compassionate and person-centred approach.
• Ability to work the required shift pattern, including alternate weekends.

Desirable

• Experience supporting older people living with dementia.
• Previous experience as a Senior Support Worker, Team Leader or similar role.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and best practice within care services.
