The Team Leader is responsible for assisting the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager with operational, sales, and merchandising objectives by delivering a Legendary Customer Experience. They promote a safe and productive work environment and train Team Members on policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)

You should be available, flexible, adaptable, and service-oriented. Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining regular and predictable attendance.
  • Working scheduled shifts, including varied hours, days, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
  • Upholding safety and productivity standards by following policies.
  • Delivering Legendary Customer Service through GURA: Greet, Uncover needs, Recommend solutions, and Add value.
  • Performing duties such as merchandising, opening/closing, banking, assessing store conditions, organizing workflows, merchandise recovery, price changes, resolving customer issues, adhering to loss prevention, communicating responsibilities, operating cash registers, assisting team members, caring for poultry, operating forklifts and balers, and completing documentation.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications

Experience: Retail, farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding knowledge preferred. Supervisory experience is a plus. Must be at least 18 and have a valid driver’s license.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required. Ability to read, write, and count accurately is essential.

Preferred skills and abilities

Basic computer skills, strong interpersonal skills, ethical conflict resolution, and ability to perform core responsibilities effectively.

Working Conditions
  • Mostly indoor with moderate noise; outdoor work possible in adverse weather.
  • Shifts generally range from 4 to over 8 hours.
  • Maintain safety standards and work in various environments.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, push/pull heavy loads with equipment, and operate store equipment.
  • Frequent standing, kneeling, twisting, and climbing.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and handle birds/poultry.
