Job summary

Philz is hiring a Team Lead (Shift Supervisor) in Canada to oversee daily shift activities and support a dynamic team of baristas. You will motivate staff, ensure top service and drink quality, and foster a welcoming store environment.

You’ll coach team members, manage shifts, support store leaders and participate in safety programs while building relationships with customers and the local community.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience in a fast-paced food and beverage environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of coffee/barista operations is a plus but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to train and coach others.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily shift activities and support a dynamic team of baristas.
• Motivate and inspire team members and set the bar for service and drink quality.
• Place the right people in the right positions and manage shift coverage and breaks.
• Develop relationships with customers and the local community.
• Communicate performance to Store Leaders and other Supervisors for consistency.
• Assist Store Leader with operations and administrative duties and safety programs.
