Job summary

Petsense in the United States (Texas) seeks a Store Team Member to assist the Store Manager in daily operations, merchandising and customer service. You will help promote a safe work environment, train team members, and support live animal care and animal welfare standards.

The role involves opening/closing duties, cash handling, assisting customers, and carrying out routine store tasks to maintain cleanliness and order. A high school diploma is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience: Retail experience and/or pet/live animal knowledge is strongly preferred.
• Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager with execution of merchandising and sales objectives.
• Promote a safe and productive work environment and train Team Members on policies.
• Open/Close procedures and cash handling.
• Assist customers with loading purchases and resolve issues to ensure a positive experience.
• Care for live animals including feeding, bedding, and habitat maintenance.
