Qualifications

• Retail or other customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engage peers to provide the best possible shopping experience.
• Communicate with team and assign daily work tasks.
• Mentor and coach team members to exceed sales goals and maintain Meijer standards.
• Assist training of new team members and cross-training of high-potential talent.
• Assist with department scheduling to focus on engagement, service, sales and profitability.
• Ensure product freshness by monitoring rotation and dating policies.
• Guide the team in food safety compliance and safe working practices.
• Lead ordering, receiving, stocking, pricing, and product display where applicable.
• Foster Meijer culture through diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Operate a register and handle cash when needed.
• Operate powered equipment where applicable.
• Participate in period end inventories to help meet goals.
• May act in Lead capacity in other departments as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
