Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a proactive team member to support daily store operations, deliver exceptional customer service, and coach others to meet sales goals. You’ll participate in scheduling, inventory checks, and product rotation while upholding safety standards across the department.

The role emphasizes leadership within the team, cross-training opportunities, and contributing to an inclusive, customer-centric environment.

Qualifications

Experience in customer-facing roles is preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to motivate and coach team members to meet goals.
Capability to plan schedules and manage daily tasks.

Responsibilities

Engage with customers to provide a best-in-class shopping experience.
Communicate with team members and assign daily tasks.
Mentor and coach teammates to meet service and sales goals.
Assist in training new team members and cross-training talent.
Support department scheduling to boost engagement, service, and profitability.
Ensure product freshness and rotate stock per policy.
Guide the team on safety standards and 200% accountability.
Lead ordering, receiving, stocking, pricing, and displays where applicable.
Contribute to a culture that values diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Operate registers and cash handling when needed; operate powered equipment if applicable.
