Job summary

Meijer in Indiana seeks team members to deliver outstanding customer service and a great shopping experience. You will engage with customers, coordinate daily tasks with peers, and mentor teammates to meet sales goals while upholding Meijer standards.

You will assist with scheduling, ensure product freshness, follow safety policies, and participate in inventories. This role supports a diverse, inclusive culture and may require Lead capacity in other departments.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engaging peers to provide the best possible shopping experience.
• Communicating with team members and assigning daily work tasks.
• Mentoring and coaching team members to exceed goals and maintain standards.
• Supports training new team members and cross-training high potential talent.
• Assist with scheduling to improve customer service, store sales and profitability.
• Ensure freshness of products through rotation and dating policies.
• Guide the team in food safety standards and safety accountability.
• Lead team to manage ordering, receiving, stocking, pricing and displays.
• Create an environment that supports Meijer culture and inclusion.
• Operate a register and cash handling when needed.
• Operate powered equipment where applicable.
• Participate in period end inventories to help achieve goals.
• May act in Lead capacity in other departments.
• Other duties as assigned or required.
