Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Head Cashier in Lake Forest, CA to supervise a team of cashiers and assist with operational issues. You will guide frontline staff, ensure excellent customer service, and support loss prevention initiatives in a fast-paced retail environment.

The ideal candidate is 18+, has a HS diploma/GED, 1–2 years cashiering experience with leadership training, and a flexible schedule including nights and weekends. Competitive pay and growth opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old; possess a high school diploma or GED, and 1-2 years of cashiering experience supplemented with leadership training.
• Be dependable and reliable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with strong customer interaction and role-model behavior.
• Ability to operate front-end equipment: register, calculator, scanner.
• Strong communication, open to direction and able to work in a team.
• Able to multi-task, stay organized and complete repetitious tasks.
• Physical requirements: lift/carry up to 30 lbs., move carts, with appropriate handling.

Responsibilities

• Ensure excellent customer service by proactively visiting registers and guiding Cashiers and Courtesy Clerks.
• Assist with customer service issues at the register as needed.
• Schedule and oversee meal and rest breaks in compliance with policy and state rules.
• Assist in hiring and training new Cashiers and address disciplinary actions.
• Maintain security by monitoring exit doors and cash wrap areas.
• Oversee store sweeps and maintain cash register supply levels and cleanliness.
