Job summary

Apple Montessori Schools in Shrewsbury, NJ is seeking a Teacher Assistant for Infant and Toddler classrooms. The position runs Monday through Friday, 1:00 PM to 6:30 PM, supporting Lead Teachers and contributing to a Montessori learning environment that nurtures growth, independence, and curiosity in young children.

Ideal candidates have a love for children, a high school diploma or GED, and CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it after hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain after hire.
• A genuine love of children.
• Physically able to kneel, bend, squat, lift, push, pull and carry children.
• Understanding health and safety guidelines.
• Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Teacher Assistant Infant, Toddler

Location: Shrewsbury, NJ

Hours: Monday to Friday, 1pm to 6:30pm

As a Teacher Assistant at Apple Montessori Schools, you’ll have the opportunity to turn your passion for working with children into a meaningful career in Early Childhood Education. You will work closely with Lead Teachers to support children as they explore, grow, and build independence in a nurturing Montessori environment. Our Teacher Assistants provide warmth, encouragement, and guidance as children try new experiences, form friendships, and develop confidence and curiosity.

As a member of our teaching team, some of your responsibilities will include:
