Apple Montessori Schools in Edison, NJ seeks a Teacher Assistant Preschool to support lead teachers in a nurturing Montessori setting. You will help children explore, build independence, and develop confidence through hands-on activities and guided play.

The role emphasizes a caring approach, teamwork with staff, and ongoing participation in professional development within a Montessori framework.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CPR / First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.
• Genuine love of children and enthusiasm for early education.
• Physically able to kneel, bend, squat, lift, push, pull and carry children.
• Understand health and safety guidelines.
• Ability to multitask in a dynamic classroom setting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Teacher Assistant Preschool

Location: Edison, NJ

Hours: Monday to Friday,

1:00pm to 6:30pm

As a Teacher Assistant at Apple Montessori Schools, you’ll have the opportunity to turn your passion for working with children into a meaningful career in Early Childhood Education. You will work closely with Lead Teachers to support children as they explore, grow, and build independence in a nurturing Montessori environment. Our Teacher Assistants provide warmth, encouragement, and guidance as children try new experiences, form friendships, and develop confidence and curiosity.

As a member of our teaching team, some of your responsibilities will include:

• Ensure a safe, clean, and engaging learning environment for all students
• Collaborate with the Lead Teacher to support and implement lesson plans
• Maintain accurate student records and assist with family communication
• Encourage positive self-image while supporting individuality, independence, and creativity
• Model appropriate social behavior and actively engage with students
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, trainings, and mentorship programs
