Job summary

Apple Montessori Schools is seeking a Teacher Assistant for the Toddler & Preschool level in Paramus, NJ. Hours are Monday to Friday, 12:30 pm to 6:30 pm, providing support to lead teachers and helping children explore, grow, and build independence in a nurturing Montessori environment.

Responsibilities include maintaining a safe classroom, assisting with lesson plans, keeping student records, and fostering a positive, creative learning atmosphere.

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to engage with children in a Montessori setting.

As a Teacher Assistant at Apple Montessori Schools, you’ll have the opportunity to turn your passion for working with children into a meaningful career in Early Childhood Education. You will work closely with Lead Teachers to support children as they explore, grow, and build independence in a nurturing Montessori environment. Our Teacher Assistants provide warmth, encouragement, and guidance as children try new experiences, form friendships, and develop confidence and curiosity.

As a member of our teaching team, some of your responsibilities will include:
