Apple Montessori Schools in Shrewsbury, NJ is seeking a Teacher Assistant for Infant and Preschool classrooms. You will work with Lead Teachers to foster exploration, independence, and confidence in a nurturing Montessori setting.

Responsibilities include maintaining a safe environment, supporting lesson plans, and communicating with families. Requirements emphasize a love of children, health and safety awareness, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• CPR / First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.
• A genuine love of children is essential.
• Physically able to kneel, bend, squat, lift, push, pull, and carry children.
• An understanding of health and safety guidelines.
• Capacity to multi-task and function in an ever-changing environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Teacher Assistant Infant & Preschool classrooms

Location: Shrewsbury, NJ

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 1:00pm OR 1:00pm to 6:30pm

As a Teacher Assistant at Apple Montessori Schools, you’ll have the opportunity to turn your passion for working with children into a meaningful career in Early Childhood Education. You will work closely with Lead Teachers to support children as they explore, grow, and build independence in a nurturing Montessori environment. Our Teacher Assistants provide warmth, encouragement, and guidance as children try new experiences, form friendships, and develop confidence and curiosity.

As a member of our teaching team, some of your responsibilities will include:
