Job summary

Apple Montessori Schools is seeking a Teacher Assistant for Infant and Toddler roles in Paramus, NJ. The position supports Lead Teachers in a nurturing Montessori environment, helping children explore, grow, and build independence.

You will assist with creating a warm, engaging classroom, follow lesson plans, and communicate with families. The role emphasizes warmth, encouragement, and guiding children through developmental activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• CPR / First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain upon hire is required.
• A genuine love of children.
• Physically able to kneel, bend, squat, lift, push, pull, and carry children.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe, clean, and engaging learning environment for all students.
• Collaborate with the Lead Teacher to support and implement lesson plans.

Teacher Assistant Infant and Toddler

Location: Paramus, NJ

Hours: Monday to Friday,

Infant: 8:00am to 1:00pm OR 3:30pm to 6:30pm

Toddler: 1:00pm to 6:30pm

As a Teacher Assistant at Apple Montessori Schools, you’ll have the opportunity to turn your passion for working with children into a meaningful career in Early Childhood Education. You will work closely with Lead Teachers to support children as they explore, grow, and build independence in a nurturing Montessori environment. Our Teacher Assistants provide warmth, encouragement, and guidance as children try new experiences, form friendships, and develop confidence and curiosity.

As a member of our teaching team, some of your responsibilities will include:

• Ensure a safe, clean, and engaging learning environment for all students
