Job summary

Apple Montessori Schools in Paramus, NJ is seeking a Teacher Assistant for Toddler and Preschool classrooms. You will support Lead Teachers, help children explore learning activities, and foster independence in a warm Montessori setting.

Responsibilities include maintaining a safe, engaging environment; assisting with lesson plans; documenting student progress and communicating with families. CPR/First Aid certification may be required after hire, with training provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CPR / First Aid certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.
• A genuine love of children and a caring attitude.
• Ability to kneel, bend, squat, lift, push, pull and carry children safely.
• Strong health and safety awareness and communication skills.

Teacher Assistant Toddler & Preschool

Location: Paramus, NJ

Hours: Monday to Friday, 12:30 pm to 6:30 pm

As a Teacher Assistant at Apple Montessori Schools, you'll have the opportunity to turn your passion for working with children into a meaningful career in Early Childhood Education. You will work closely with Lead Teachers to support children as they explore, grow, and build independence in a nurturing Montessori environment. Our Teacher Assistants provide warmth, encouragement, and guidance as children try new experiences, form friendships, and develop confidence and curiosity.

As a member of our teaching team, some of your responsibilities will include:
