Job summary

Whittier Rehabilitation Hospital TCU in Westborough, MA is seeking a Unit Secretary/CNA dual role for a full-time shift from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. The role supports unit operations under Nursing Director supervision, coordinating clerical services and daily activities.

Responsibilities include reception, census verification, charting, admissions, and arranging tests and transport. CNA support and other duties as assigned are included.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend medical terminology.
• Previous experience preferred.
• Current Certification in BLS of Adult, Child and Infant.
• Degree/Certificate in Medical Terminology preferred.

• Verifies unit census daily.
• Acts as a source of communication and maintains the physical environment of the area.
• Processes new admissions, sets up charts, scans and files medical records, arranges transportation and completes necessary patient forms for discharges, transfers and appointments.

• Maintains daily schedule.

TCU Unit Secretary/CNA dual role

Full Time (8am-4:30pm)

In this role, your main responsibility is to be the Unit Secretary for the unit with options to pick up CNA shifts if interested. Under the supervision of the Director of Nursing, organizes the activities occurring on the Unit and assists the Nursing Unit staff in the efficient daily operations by implementing, coordinating and maintaining all unit clerical services and systems.

• Functions as receptionist.
