Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking a physician to conduct Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) C&P examinations and to review Veterans’ medical records for accurate VA documentation in Louisiana. You will assess cognitive, emotional, and physical residuals and prepare comprehensive reports.

The role requires an MD or DO with board certification in Neurology, Psychiatry, or Physiatry, an active license, and strong documentation skills. Flexible scheduling and admin support are provided.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid MD or DO in the United States.
• Board certification in Neurology, Psychiatry, or Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.
• Active, unrestricted medical license in the practicing state.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) C&P examinations.
• Review Veterans' medical records, imaging, and supporting documentation.
• Assess cognitive, emotional, behavioral, neurological, and physical residuals of TBI.
• Complete VA Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately and thoroughly.
• Prepare timely, objective medical reports.
• Maintain compliance with VA standards, HIPAA, and state/federal regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely submission of evaluations.
