Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking a board-certified physician to perform Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) C&P examinations for Veterans in the United States. You will review medical records, conduct detailed evaluations, and complete VA-required documentation.

You will review imaging and supporting documentation, assess cognitive and neurological residuals, and prepare objective reports while maintaining strict HIPAA compliance. Flexible scheduling is available, with FT/PT/PRN options and no on-call duties.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree required.
• Board certification in Neurology, Psychiatry, or PM&R.
• Active unrestricted medical license in the practicing state.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Compensation & Pension (C&P) examinations.
• Review Veterans' medical records, imaging, and supporting documentation prior to evaluations.
• Assess cognitive, emotional, behavioral, neurological, and physical residuals related to TBI.
• Complete VA Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately and thoroughly.
• Prepare timely, objective, and detailed medical reports.
• Maintain compliance with VA standards, HIPAA, and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely submission of completed evaluations.
