Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a Tax Manager, Core Tax Services to advise clients on tax implications, assess strategies to reduce tax burden, and ensure compliance. The role includes serving as the primary contact for complex tax issues and contributing to marketing and business development within a tax specialty.

The position requires strong knowledge of ASC 740, FIN 48, and tax provisions, with experience leading teams and delivering written tax advice to clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Statistics, required (or equivalent).
• Masters in Accountancy or Taxation, preferred.
• Five or more years of prior relevant tax experience and/or public accounting, private industry accounting or consulting/professional services experience, required.
• CPA certification, Attorney or Enrolled Agent, or equivalent designation, required.

Responsibilities

• Advises clients on tax implications of business objectives.
• Evaluates and selects actions to lessen tax burden and cost of compliance.
• Acts as primary client contact for complex tax issues.
• Marketing, networking and business development within area of specialization.
