Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a Tax Manager in Core Tax Services to advise clients on tax implications, manage risk, and drive compliance strategies. You will lead tax consulting, ASC 740/FIN 48 accruals, and development of client relationships, while contributing to marketing and business development in your area of specialization.

Strong communication and leadership are essential. You will guide tax planning, manage multi‑client engagements, and mentor staff, helping clients navigate complex tax issues

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Accounting/Finance/Economics/Statistics preferred
• Masters in Accountancy or Taxation preferred
• CPA certification, Attorney (admitted) or EA required
• Five+ years of relevant tax experience; supervisory experience required
• Industry expertise in one or more tax specialty preferred

Responsibilities

• Advises clients on tax implications of business objectives and tax planning
• Performs top-level review of tax returns and aligns with firm policies
• Manages client relationships and communications with Assurance on tax accruals
• Leads engagement budgeting, staffing, and billing processes
• Supervises and trains associates and seniors on tax projects
