Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a Tax Manager in Core Tax Services to advise clients on the tax implications of business objectives, evaluate and select actions to lessen tax burden, and serve as the primary client contact for complex tax issues. The role emphasizes leadership, client relationship management, and depth in tax provision and compliance, including ASC 740 and FIN 48.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; major in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Statistics preferred
• Master’s in Accountancy or Taxation preferred

Responsibilities

• Supervises associates and senior associates on projects and provides review comments
• Manages client relationships and expectations per project scope
• Ensures compliance with Firm policies and the Tax Quality Manual (TQM)
• Provides written tax advice and supports exam processes
• Trains associates and seniors on current software tools and processes
• Delivers timely guidance and identifies tax risks and opportunities for clients
• Develops and applies strategies to minimize clients’ tax burden and compliance costs
