Job summary

BDO USA, LLP seeks a Tax Managing Director to lead advisory on complex tax issues, ensure compliance, and guide multi‑jurisdiction strategies. You will supervise teams, review work, and act as a primary client contact for high‑level tax questions and resolutions.

You will apply expertise in international, SALT, estate planning and transfer pricing while supporting business development and client relationships within your area of specialization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics or statistics; master's preferred.
• Ten or more years in tax, with supervisory experience.
• CPA, Attorney or Enrolled Agent or equivalent required.
• Expert knowledge of tax standards and ability to advise on complex issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide high‑level tax planning and strategy for clients to minimize tax burden.
• Serve as primary client contact for complex tax questions and resolve issues.
• Supervise and mentor associates, senior associates and managers.
• Lead research and analysis on ASC 740, FIN 48, and international tax matters.
• Develop and present tax strategies and alternatives to clients and prospects.
