Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a Tax Managing Director to advise clients on tax implications, oversee compliance, and lead complex tax issues with senior-level decision-making. You will mentor staff, contribute to business development, and partner with regional leadership while maintaining client relationships across industries.

You will drive strategic tax planning, supervise engagements, and coordinate nationally with partners to ensure high quality deliverables and proactive risk management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Statistics preferred.
• Masters in Accountancy or Taxation preferred.
• Ten+ years of relevant tax experience and/or public accounting, private industry accounting or consulting experience required.
• CPA certification, Attorney (admitted to practice in a U.S. jurisdiction) or EA required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure client tax compliance while minimizing tax and reporting burdens.
• Manage engagements to achieve engagement management metrics.
• Hands-on client service delivery and adherence to Firm policies (TQM).
• Supervise associates and provide performance feedback.
