Job summary

BDO USA, P.A. seeks a Tax Managing Director to guide clients on complex tax matters, oversee compliance, and lead engagements with federal and state authorities.

You will be a key member of the regional leadership team, supervising staff and delivering strategic tax planning, research and client advisory services. Ideal candidates hold CPA/EA credentials, 10+ years of relevant tax experience, and strong leadership, communication and client-relations skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; major in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Statistics preferred
• Masters in Accountancy or Taxation preferred
• Ten (10) or more years of prior relevant tax experience and/or public accounting, private industry accounting or consulting/professional services experience required
• CPA certification, Attorney (admitted to practice in a U.S. jurisdiction), or Internal Revenue Service Enrolled Agent (EA) (or the equivalent of one of these designations) required
• Possession of other professional degrees or certifications applicable to role preferred

Responsibilities

• Supervise associates, senior associates and managers as the situation dictates
• Review work prepared by associates and senior associates and provide review comments
• Act as Career Advisor to associates, senior associates and managers
• Schedule and manage workload of associates, senior associates and managers
• Provide verbal and written performance feedback to associates, senior associates and managers
