Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a Tax Managing Director to lead complex tax engagements for clients across industries, provide strategic tax planning, and oversee risk management. The role includes supervising teams, interfacing with partners, and shaping client service delivery.

Candidates should have CPA or equivalent, 10+ years tax experience, strong communication and leadership, and mastery of ASC 740, FIN 48, international tax, and SALT. This senior position reports to the regional office leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; major in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Statistics preferred
• Masters in Accountancy or Taxation preferred
• CPA certification, Attorney (admitted) or EA preferred

Responsibilities

• Supervise associates, senior associates and managers.
• Manage engagements and meet engagement metrics.
• Provide client service delivery and communication.
• Apply firm policies and standards (TQM) to tax provisions (FAS 109, FIN 48).
• Develop and implement tax strategies, and advise on international, SALT, and related tax issues.
