Job summary

BDO USA seeks a Tax Managing Director to lead complex tax engagements, provide strategic advisory across multiple jurisdictions, and supervise senior staff. You will shape tax strategies for clients, resolve high-stake issues, and represent the firm in marketing and business development activities.

The role requires 10+ years of tax experience, CPA or equivalent, and a track record of managing client relationships and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Ten (10) or more years of prior tax experience and/or public accounting, private industry accounting or consulting/professional services experience required.
• Experience and expertise in one or more tax specialties (e.g., International, SALT, Estate Planning).
• Ability to supervise and develop a team of tax professionals.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on tax implications and optimal courses of action.
• Oversee tax accruals and compliance processes (FAS 109, FIN 48, ASC 740).
• Lead strategy development and client engagement management.
• Build and maintain client relationships and act as primary contact for complex issues.
