Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a Tax Managing Director to lead complex tax advisory for clients, guiding strategies to minimize tax burdens and ensure compliance, while acting as the primary contact for issues with federal and state agencies.

This senior role participates in office leadership, oversees engagements, and drives marketing, networking and business development within one's area of specialization, while mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; major in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Statistics preferred.
• Masters in Accountancy or Taxation preferred.
• Ten or more years of tax experience; supervisory experience required.
• CPA certification, Attorney or EA required or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead tax engagements for clients, ensuring high-quality delivery.
• Advise on ASC 740/FIN 48 and international tax issues.
• Develop strategies to reduce tax burden and cost of compliance.
• Supervise associates and review work for accuracy.
