Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a Tax Managing Director to advise clients on tax implications, develop strategies, and lead region leadership activities. The role involves supervising engagements, managing client relationships, and guiding complex tax questions with a focus on compliance and performance.

The position emphasizes marketing, networking and business development as part of the leadership team, with extensive interaction across federal and state authorities and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Statistics required.
• Masters in Accountancy or Taxation preferred.
• CPA/Attorney/EA certification or equivalent experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on tax implications of business issues and strategies.
• Lead and supervise engagements with senior staff and associates.
• Review tax provisions and ensure compliance with FAS 109/FIN 48 where applicable.
• Develop tax strategies, manage relationships with clients, and drive business development.
• Communicate risks and changes in tax policy to stakeholders.
• Act as primary client contact for complex tax questions and resolutions.
