Job summary

Withum's Tax Services Group seeks a Senior Manager to lead a team of tax professionals across multiple engagements from offices in California, Chicago, Houston, New Jersey, New York City, or Philadelphia.

You'll review complex C corp., S corp. and partnership returns, provide strategic guidance on federal and state compliance, and mentor staff while pursuing paths to Partnership. Travel may be required as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting and CPA license or Masters of Science in Taxation
• 8+ years of prior experience working in the tax department of a public accounting, with experience leading multiple engagements and supervising staff
• Excellent analytical and technical tax skills

Responsibilities

• Reviewing complex C corp., S corp. and partnership income tax returns
• Strategic planning for clients including advising on federal and state compliance issues
• Managing multiple engagements concurrently with various teams to efficiently meet client deadlines
• Identifying tax planning opportunities
• Conducting constructive discussions with team members on their evaluations and providing counsel accordingly
• Serving in professional development programs as an instructor or discussion leader
• Seeking and developing new clients/business
