Job summary

Withum is seeking a seasoned tax professional to lead complex tax engagements within our Tax Services Group. The role involves overseeing C corp., S corp., and partnership returns, with strategic planning on federal and state compliance and opportunities for growth into partnership tracks.

You will manage multiple engagements, mentor staff, and contribute to business development while traveling as needed. A CPA and 8+ years in public accounting tax are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting and CPA license or Master of Science in Taxation.
• 8+ years of public accounting tax experience leading engagements.
• Excellent analytical, client service, and communication skills.
• Ability to lead multiple engagements and staff.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing complex C corp., S corp. and partnership income tax returns
• Strategic planning for clients including advising on federal and state compliance issues
• Managing multiple engagements concurrently with various teams to efficiently meet client deadlines
• Identifying tax planning opportunities
• Conducting constructive discussions with team members on their evaluations and providing counsel accordingly
• Serving in professional development programs as an instructor or discussion leader
• Seeking and developing new clients/business
