Job summary

WithumSmith+Brown, PC is seeking a Senior Manager in Tax Services based in multiple offices (California, Chicago, Houston, New Jersey, New York City, or Philadelphia). This leadership role emphasizes building a high-performing team, guiding diverse engagements, and delivering innovative tax strategies for a broad client base.

Candidates should have 8+ years in public accounting tax, CPA license or MS in Taxation, and strong analytical and client-service skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting and CPA license or Masters of Science in Taxation.
• 8+ years of experience in a public accounting tax department.
• Excellent analytical and technical tax skills.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and staff supervision.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Review complex C corp., S corp. and partnership income tax returns.
• Strategic planning for clients including advising on federal and state compliance issues.
• Managing multiple engagements concurrently with various teams to efficiently meet client deadlines.
• Identifying tax planning opportunities.
• Conducting constructive discussions with team members on their evaluations and providing counsel accordingly.
• Serving in professional development programs as an instructor or discussion leader.
• Seeking and developing new clients/business.
