Job summary

Withum is seeking a Senior Manager in Tax Services to lead complex C corp., S corp. and partnership returns and provide strategic planning for clients across federal and state compliance.

The role is based in California, Chicago, Houston, New Jersey, New York City, or Philadelphia offices and offers a path to Partnership with an integrated team of CPAs and industry leaders. You will manage multiple engagements, identify tax planning opportunities, mentor staff, and contribute to business

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting and CPA license or MS in Taxation.
• 8+ years of experience in the tax department of a public accounting firm, with experience leading multiple engagements and supervising staff.
• Excellent analytical and technical tax skills.
• Exceptional client service and communication skills with demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing complex C corp., S corp. and partnership income tax returns.
• Strategic planning for clients including advising on federal and state compliance issues.
• Managing multiple engagements concurrently with various teams to efficiently meet client deadlines.
• Identifying tax planning opportunities.
• Conducting constructive discussions with team members on their evaluations and providing counsel accordingly.
• Serving in professional development programs as an instructor or discussion leader.
• Seeking and developing new clients/business.
