Job summary

Withum's Tax Services Group is a brilliant team of tax specialists that work to ensure tax reporting obligations are met and minimize taxes. This Senior Manager role will be based out of our California, Chicago, Houston, New Jersey, New York City, or Philadelphia office.

You'll lead engagements alongside seasoned CPAs, build a strong team, and have a path to Partnership, with opportunities to shape client strategies and deliver innovative tax solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting and CPA license or Master of Science in Taxation.
• 8+ years of prior experience in the tax department of a public accounting, with experience leading multiple engagements and supervising staff.
• Excellent analytical and technical tax skills.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing complex C corp., S corp. and partnership income tax returns.
• Strategic planning for clients including advising on federal and state compliance issues.
• Managing multiple engagements concurrently with various teams to efficiently meet client deadlines.
• Identifying tax planning opportunities.
• Conducting constructive discussions with team members on their evaluations and providing counsel accordingly.
• Serving in professional development programs as an instructor or discussion leader.
• Seeking and developing new clients/business.
