Job summary

H&R Block is seeking an entry-level role to assist in the tax interview process, entering client and W-2 information into the tax software and supporting the closing steps. You will assemble returns, obtain signatures, review results with clients, and help with bookkeeping tasks to ensure quality service.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, solid reading and math skills, and the ability to communicate clearly in person and by phone. Prior experience with Windows-based software is a plus.

Qualifications

• Reading and math skills required to begin and finish the tax return interview.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person and on the phone.
• Experience with Windows-based computer programs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the beginning of the tax interview by entering client and W-2 information into the tax program.
• Assist with the closing of the interview by assembling the tax return, obtaining required signatures, reviewing the finished product with the client, and completing bookkeeping procedures.
• Ensure all H&R Block clients are receiving superior service.
• All other duties as assigned
