Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a motivated Tax Associate to assist with tax interviews and return preparation. You will gather client information, enter W-2 data, and ensure accuracy while delivering excellent service in person and over the phone.

The role emphasizes accurate data entry, filing support, and teamwork. Candidates should have a high school diploma and strong math and reading skills; prior experience with Windows-based programs is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Reading and math skills required to begin and finish the tax return interview.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person and on the phone.
• Previous experience with Windows-based computer programs.
• Additional state and local requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Assist with beginning of tax interview by entering client and W-2 information into the tax program.
• Assist with closing of the interview by assembling the tax return, obtaining required signatures, reviewing the finished product with the client, and completing bookkeeping procedures.
• Ensure all H&R Block clients are receiving superior service.
• All other duties as assigned.
