Job summary

Atomic HR seeks an experienced CPA to review AI-prepared tax returns for individuals and small businesses, ensuring accuracy before IRS submission. You will have final sign-off authority and determine when returns are signed, sent back, or held.

You will trace outputs to source documents, define edge-case rules with engineers, and test fixes, while contributing to tax planning and mentoring a lean reviewer team in a remote/hybrid setup.

Qualifications

• 5+ years preparing and reviewing complex individual and small‑business returns (1040s with K-1s, S corps, partnerships, C corps, multi-state).
• Experience with professional tax software and automation/OCR tools on real client work.

Responsibilities

• Review AI-prepared 1040, 1065, 1120S and C corp returns and decide whether to sign, send back, or hold.
• Trace figures back to source documents; define edge-case rules and QA steps with engineering; test fixes.
