H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a results-oriented Office Leader in Austin to drive a high-quality, consultative client experience while coaching Tax Advisors and CSPs.

This in-person role begins part-time in fall and expands through the busy tax season, coordinating with the OEM and DGM to meet growth targets and service standards. The role requires strong people management, coaching abilities, and a data-driven mindset to optimize daily office operations, scheduling, and client flow.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team in a service or retail environment.
• Commitment to delivering a differentiated, consultative client experience.
• Ability to coach by observing performance and giving direct feedback.
• Strong decision-making and judgment in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for difficult conversations.
• Ability to analyze KPI, survey, and coaching data to guide priorities.
• Proficient with MS Office, Teams, and office systems.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the daily consultative client experience with discipline on every appointment.
• Model client-centric behaviors and set the team standard.
• Serve as on-site contact for escalated client service concerns and follow through.
• Coach Tax Advisors and CSPs using a Coaching Roadmap, translating insights into actions.
• Manage day-to-day office operations, scheduling, capacity, and walk-in coverage.
• Lead daily huddles and communicate priorities and recognition to associates.
• Partner to grow client counts, revenue, and service standards.
• Support talent readiness, onboarding, and change adoption in the office.
