Job summary

H&R Block is seeking an Office Experience Manager to lead a team of Tax Advisors and Client Service Professionals in a hands-on, in-person role. You’ll translate directives into disciplined execution, coach staff, and drive the client experience to accelerate seasonal tax business.

You’ll start on a flexible part-time schedule in the fall and transition to an expanded tax season schedule from January through April, including evenings and weekends as needed. This is an on-site, in-person position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Proven people management experience in service or retail environment.
• Strong coaching, feedback, and behavior-change capability.
• Excellent decision-making and judgment in fast-paced settings.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills for difficult conversations.
• Data fluency to interpret KPI, survey, and coaching data.
• Proficient with MS Office, Teams, and office systems.

Responsibilities

• Own the daily delivery of consultative client experience within your office, ensuring execution with discipline on every appointment.
• Model consultative, client-centric behaviors and set the standard for the team.
• Serve as the on-site point of contact for escalated client service concerns, resolving with sound judgment.
• Conduct client walk/talks and exit conversations to gather real-time feedback and translate insights into coaching.
• Lead front-line coaching using a Coaching Roadmap to observe and improve performance.
• Anchor coaching on high-impact behaviors and protect coaching time from interruptions.
• Manage day-to-day office operations, scheduling, capacity, and walk-in coverage.
• Lead daily huddles and communicate priorities and recognition to associates.
• Ensure new processes and technology are implemented as designed.
• Partner to execute office growth plan focusing on client count, revenue, conversion, and service standards.
• Support talent readiness, onboarding, and change adoption; recruit and certify associates.
