Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a leader to translate strategy into disciplined daily execution for a team of Tax Advisors and CSPs in-person. You will coach, manage office operations, and drive client outcomes during peak tax season, starting with a flexible fall schedule and expanding through April.

Responsibilities include coaching, scheduling, daily huddles, and implementing new processes while maintaining service standards. This role emphasizes client-centric leadership and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Experience managing people in a service or retail environment.
• Strong client-centric mindset with a commitment to delivering a consultative client experience.
• Coaching capability — comfort observing performance, giving direct feedback, and driving behavior change.
• Strong decision-making and judgment skills in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including handling difficult conversations professionally.
• Data fluency — interpreting KPI, survey and coaching data to inform daily priorities.
• Proficient with MS Office, Teams and office systems (Appointment Manager, Dimensions, Copilot/Sidekick).
• Able to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.
• High school diploma / GED / equivalent required

Responsibilities

• Deliver the consultative client experience daily with disciplined execution.
• Model client-centric behaviors and set team standards.
• Serve as on-site contact for escalated client service concerns and resolve with sound judgment.
• Conduct client walk/talks and gather feedback for coaching.
• Lead and coach Tax Advisors and CSPs using a Coaching Roadmap.
• Manage day-to-day office operations: scheduling, capacity, conflicts, walk-ins.
• Lead daily huddles and communicate priorities and recognition.
• Support talent readiness: onboarding, training completion and change adoption.
• Partner to drive growth metrics: client count, revenue, conversion, standards targets.
