Job summary

Intuit, Inc. is hiring as a TurboTax Local Service Expert to provide hands-on tax advice and complete returns at a TurboTax location. You will build local client relationships, work with a team of specialists, and help clients navigate personal and business taxes in person and virtually.

You will grow the local base through community outreach, events, and partnerships, while leveraging Intuit tools for comprehensive financial solutions. This role is onsite with flexible hours during peak seasons.

Qualifications

• EA (Enrolled Agent), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), or Practicing Attorney with strong tax preparation experience and extensive knowledge of tax laws preferred.
• Have an active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN) as required by law to file taxes.
• Minimum of 3 years of paid experience filing 30 or more federal and state individual 1040 tax returns per tax season using professional tax preparation software, Familiarity with Circular 230.
• Willing to upskill into additional service types or more complex work areas (e.g., bookkeeping, payroll, business tax advisory) with training provided by Intuit.
• Must be comfortable working onsite at a TurboTax office location, primarily between 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM local time, for a minimum of 20 hours per week.
• Must be willing and able to complete all required training and development as determined by the business.
• Must be willing to wear Intuit provided uniforms and be used for advertising.
• Interest in building a local and online social presence as a TurboTax Expert, creating accessible tax‑related content and resources for your community.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills are a plus.
• Experience in holistic tax advisory services beyond tax filing.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on tax advice and complete preparation services for TurboTax clients, handling simple to complex tax situations.
• Be a proactive community ambassador by growing the local client base and leading community outreach activities.
• Connect clients with Intuit solutions such as bookkeeping, payroll, financial planning, or Credit Karma.
• Deliver an exceptional customer experience and build long-term relationships.
• Collaborate with teammates to ensure end-to-end TurboTax customer service.
