Job summary

New Clairvaux Vineyard is seeking a part-time tasting room representative to educate guests about our wines and the winery history. You will sell wine and merchandise in the tasting room and provide excellent customer service to guests and Wine Club members.

Requires weekend availability and the ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods. Pay starts from $17.00 per hour and entails in-person, on-site work in Redding, CA.

TASTING ROOM REPRESENTATIVE

New Clairvaux Vineyard is a dynamic and passionate winery seeking a team-oriented individual with an interest in wine education. This is a part-time hospitality position. Weekend availability is required, along with availability during the busy holiday season.

We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people and creating memorable guest experiences while representing our winery with professionalism and enthusiasm.

Qualifications & Qualities:

• Represents the company and brand professionally, graciously, and enthusiastically
• Helpful and accommodating with guests and team members
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Possesses outstanding follow-through
• Proficient with POS transactions
• Able to prioritize time-sensitive issues and guests' needs
• Able to multitask with a wide variety of duties
• Excellent communication skills
• Wine industry experience and/or knowledge preferred
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods of time

Responsibilities Include:

• Educate guests about our wines and the history of our winery
• Sell wine and merchandise in the tasting room
• Provide excellent customer service in all guest and Wine Club member interactions
• Represent the winery with integrity and professionalism
• Ensure accurate point-of-sale transaction processing
• Carefully review new Wine Club contract agreements with members
• Assist with Wine Club and other shipments, ensuring proper addressing and delivery
• Assist the Tasting Room Manager with administrative tasks
• Assist with coordination including setup, guest service, and breakdown
• Fulfill phone and eCommerce orders
• Assist with special projects as needed
